It’s definitely time to move west.

While East Coast beaches are seeing a wave of shark attacks, San Francisco beaches are being overrun by a much less frightening creature—the Corgi.

On June 27, Ocean Beach in San Francisco hosted the semi-annual Corgi Con, which welcomed about 500 adorable dogs. Some wore costumes, others played games and participated in races, and everyone had a grand ol’ time.

The event benefited Corgi Aid and Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. The next Corgi Con will take place on Saturday, October 10. See the website for details.

Even if you don’t have a breed-specific event near you, you can meet other similar dog owners through Canine Partners. Learn more here.
