2012 NAFA CanAm Classic, plus ‘At-Risk Breeds’ in the Show Ring

The fourth annual North American Flyball Association CanAm Classic was held last month at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. Editor Susan Chaney reports on the event that is surely one of the more exciting – and noisy – championships in the dog sport. Learn the rules that allowed hundreds of dogs on dozens of teams to compete, and discover the fastest time on record for a canine relay race.

Blogger-in-Chief Billy Wheeler knows that it’s not just the popular breeds that succeed in the conformation show ring. In fact, several of the rarest of the rare are well-represented in the Top 100, and three even appear in the current Top 10 all breeds. Meet some of this year’s unlikeliest superstars that have proven it’s a breed’s quality that counts, not its quantity.
