A Blessing of the Animals, plus the Buzz about Lakeland Terriers

Editor Susan Chaney reports on a very special event held recently at the American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog. A Blessing of the Animals took place at the institution’s Queeny Park location in St. Louis with about 30 dogs in attendance. Find out how the museum is carrying on a springtime tradition.

The Lakeland Terrier is the most colorful of the rough-coated Terriers. A game little hunter from England’s Lake District, the breed goes about the business of ridding any landscape of vermin in a “workmanlike” manner. Discover the many charms and subtle nuances of the lovely and alert Lakeland.

Many of this year’s top show dogs are featured in their own beautiful mini-websites on Best In Show Daily. Simply click on a banner ad to see the dog’s up-to-date show history, plus a slide show of photos that reveals exactly why it’s a top dog.
