A Plethora of Goodies

Every now and again this sudden burst of goodness pops up out of the blue.

You know how whenever you’re looking for something, you can never find it, but when you’re not particularly searching for something, a plethora of goodies pop up right in front of you? Isn’t that just the oddest thing?

Well, in any case, I recently stumbled upon some great finds that I thought I’d share with you.

First off, if you don’t know what Groupon is, or you don’t use Groupon, you need to get on that! Basically – for those of you who don’t know – Groupon is an online service that offers these crazy great deals on everything from top name brands to discounts on fun things to do in your local area.

On Groupon, you can find so many great deals. Right now, a selection of Groupons specifically target the dogs we all love: Gifts For Pets. You can find discounts on everything from in-home pet sitting to custom-engraved dog tags. Check it out!

Personally I had a hard time choosing which items to put at the top of my “want list,” so I pinned my favorites to my Pinterest. If you don’t already know, Pinterest is a photo-sharing website that allows you to create collections based on a theme – like doggie gifts. It’s a great way to remember the deals you found online, then thought, “That looks great. I definitely want to get that.”

OK, moving on . . . or should I say flying on?

As I write, I’m on my way to a few shows in Southern California. I rarely just hop in my car and drive to a bookstore to browse magazines, but whenever I’m at the airport I always like to browse the newsstand for some goodies. If something goes wrong and I get stuck somewhere longer than planned, I have a little something to read.

So, while browsing the magazines, my eye automatically went to the latest edition of “People” magazine titled, “AMAZING PETS! Hero dogs, crazy cats and awwww-inspiring animal stories from the pages of People!”

This issue is filled with so many pet-friendly articles. It features 13 different topical sections with more than 85 individual stories. The sections vary from “Hero Pets” to “Animals in the News” and even “Skydiving Dachshunds.”

All sorts of eye-catching and touching photos accompany each story and, if you know me, this is just how I like my magazines – filled with great photos! It really is a great find, probably one of my favorites in the past few months. I would definitely recommend this issue to all of my doggie friends – and even to some of my non-doggie friends too!

I’m sure that, like me, you’re always on the lookout for goodies, so what are you waiting for? If you have any great finds that you’d like to share with us, leave a comment below or post a comment on our Facebook page!

Share your goodies with us, or get out there and find some new ones!
