A Treasure Trove of Tervuren Tags

To enjoy a veritable smorgasbord of your own breed’s vanity license plates, you need only walk the parking lot at a specialty. For those with an uncommon breed, it is definitely fun to see so many license plates that proclaim proud ownership of your breed.

On a long trip out of your normal territory, how welcoming it is to see vehicles announcing that other lovers of your breed are present too. It makes it easy for you to know who to approach to ask about restaurants, grooming areas, etc.

My daughter Kate and I drove out to Oregon from upstate New York to the American Belgian Tervuren Club National Specialty this year. (Well worth the trip – Best in Veteran Sweeps, Best in Puppy Sweeps, a puppy of ours BOS in Puppy Sweeps and Reserve Winners Dog and the most amazing accomplishment of all, Best of Breed! But that is a story for another day).

Early one morning, I walked around the parking lot of the resort checking out the license plates on the many Terv-mobiles. There are a few duplicates below, but they are from different states.

Enjoy this sampling, and feel free to share your finds from a national or regional specialty.
