AKC/Eukanuba, Day One, plus The Back Story

Senior Editor Christi McDonald has a report on the winners from last night’s Sporting, Hound, Toy and Non-Sporting Groups at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The Black Cocker Spaniel, Saluki, Affenpinscher and Standard Poodle electrified the crowd, and are spending the day today resting up for tonight’s finale. Find out about the dogs that received the judges’ nod, including the winners from yesterday’s Bred-by Groups.

“This is it.” So says Billy Wheeler on the last day of the 2012 show season. Three lucky dogs will be selected today in Orlando to join last night’s Group winners in the main arena, so stay tuned to The Back Story for results from ringside and color commentary from our Blogger-in-Chief.

Best In Show Daily and Dog Show Results are following the Working, Terrier and Herding breed rings today in the Sunshine State. Follow us on Facebook throughout the day, and be sure to check out our photo galleries tonight to see who is Edd Bivin’s selection for Best in Show.
