Australian Shepherd Missing in Southwestern Pennsylvania

A 6-year old Australian Shepherd that escaped from his Irwin, Pa., backyard remains missing today after three days on his own.

Quince, a tri-colored male that escaped from his backyard on July 4, 2012, has been spotted on three separate occasions since his disappearance late Wednesday night.

Anyone living in the surrounding area is encouraged to set out water and food for the dog. Temperatures have been in the triple digits in recent days.

The 60-pound Aussie was last spotted near a Rite Aid in Penn Township early Sunday morning, according to a post on Facebook.

A photo of Quince can be seen on the Best In Show Daily Facebook page.

Quince is described as friendly, but most likely scared from his ordeal. If seen, please call Jill at 774-212-3361 or Jeff at 724-244-3764. His home is located at 17 Concord Drive, Irwin, PA 15642.

Thank you again, Best In Show Daily readers, for spreading the word about Quince and for working within our community to help bring him safely back home.
