Christine Zink, DVM, plus Positive PR for Dog Shows

Editor Susan Chaney profiles Christine Zink, DVM, one of the world’s top canine sports medicine experts and author of “Peak Performance: Coaching the Canine Athlete.” The pathobiology professor at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore and part-time instructor of canine physical therapists helped organize one of the early agility workshops in the U.S. Meet the members of Chris’ canine family, and learn about her efforts to find a cure for neurological diseases in humans.

Contributing writer Deb Eldredge, DVM, shares an experience she enjoyed recently with her Belgian Tervuren puppy, Doc. When a group of special needs teens and their teachers visited a dog show in upstate New York, Deb realized she had a wonderful opportunity to socialize her puppy and generate a little goodwill. Find out how spending a few minutes with curious spectators can generate more positive PR for the dog sport than any expensive ad campaign.
