Editor Susan Chaney recently spent a couple days in Las Vegas at SuperZoo, one of the biggest pet products trade shows in the U.S. In her spare time, she made a beeline for the new products showcase, and discovered plenty of cool, fun stuff designed for dogs and their human companions. The larger-than-life Saint Bernard hails from the border between Italy and Switzerland where it rescued travelers lost in the Alps. The dogs named after the man who built a hospice in a forbidding mountain pass have been saving lives and winning hearts for nearly a thousand years.
