In his Monday Morning Mop-Up, Dog Show Poop’s Blogger-in-Chief Billy Wheeler reports on this weekend’s all-breed events from the Deep South to the not-so-frozen North. The Sporting Group proved especially competitive in the battleground states of Pennsylvania and New York, and in Wisconsin, a trio of Vizlas took home the blue ribbon. Billy’s got the names of these top dogs as well as all the latest Group and Best in Show winners.
The Arkansas State Fairgrounds in Little Rock was the site of back-to-back shows on Saturday and Sunday hosted by the Arkansas Kennel Club. For the two dogs that walked away with the red, white and blue rosette, it was a weekend of firsts. Senior Editor Christi McDonald has the stories of one Bichon Frise’s personal Best and a Bluetick Coonhound’s entry into the record books.

Monday Morning Mop up

Thanks to our generous readers we were able to bring you most of this weekend’s shows as they happened, but we do have a few more reports to add here in our Monday Morning Mop Up. Wisconsin fanciers started their weekend on Friday in South Milwaukee with the Cudahy Kennel Club and are finishing it up today in Racine courtesy of the Greater Racine Kennel Club.
So far our Number Three Dog All Breeds, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, has tallied two BIS and a Working Group Three. more
Fancy That: Two ‘Firsts’ in the Arkansas Capital

This week we’re going to go south and check in with some dogs that are new to Fancy That, although in no way new to the show scene. The shows in Little Rock, Ark., this past weekend, both hosted by the Arkansas Kennel Club, weren’t the largest in the country, but with entries around 900 each day they drew a respectable number of dogs.
On Saturday Judge Doris Werdemann selected for Best in Show the Bichon Frise, GCh. Glenleigh Gang’s N Roses. ‘Governor’ is owned by Renee Lauer and Sophie Bernard and handled by Ellen Akers-Perry. more
