Senior Editor Christi McDonald shares the opinion of many fanciers who would like to see our focus return to the evaluation of breeding stock. With so much emphasis placed on campaigning for Groups and Best in Show wins, attention is continually diverted from the breed ring, where the nuances of each individual breed may be rewarded. Although she has won her fair share of red, white and blue rosettes, find out about the exciting specialty win of which Christi is most proud.
Master Blogger Billy Wheeler has gone back to the islands – well, sort of. Actually, he’s in Oklahoma City covering the five island-themed days of the OKC Summer Classic. Billy will be keeping himself busy reporting to you from ringside, where special events include Group competition for veterans, Bred-by Exhibitors, puppies and even braces. Be sure to visit The Back Story frequently to learn what’s happening, on-site in Oklahoma City.
