Fashion Week and Westminster

As the dog world was preparing to descend upon Manhattan for Westminster, fashionistas from around the globe arrived in town for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, the industry event where designers unveil their latest collections that leave most of us wondering, “Why would anyone really wear that?”
The same question might be asked of some dog show handlers and their attire.
More than any other question, my non-dog show friends ask me why people tend to wear the shoes they do. Of course, we know why we wear them – they make sense to us! The makers of Sketchers probably never thought they would become the unofficial dog show shoe provider. I bought my first pair years ago because they were stylish, yet practical. more
