Junior Represents USA at Crufts for Second Time, plus the Meaning of ‘Dawg’ Talk

Emma Echols has represented the United States at the International Junior Handling Competition for two years in a row, and DFR Blogger Kayla Bertagnolli has once again scored an interview with the talented teen from Athens, Ga. Find out what it was like for Emma to compete at Crufts for a second time, and see how she felt showing to a well-known American.

Editor Susan Chaney reviews a new book by author David Friedman that explores the meaning behind well over a hundred terms and expressions having to do with her favorite subject – the dog. Various proverbs and metaphors have borrowed the canine’s charisma to address everyday aspects of human life, and many are illustrated with humor and a “biting” wit. Find out how you can win a “You’re My Dawg, Dog” poster.
