Long Island Animal Shelter Affected By Hurricane Sandy Rebuilt One Year Later On “Katie” Airing October 29

On tomorrow’s episode of the nationally syndicated daytime talk show “Katie,” airing October 29, Queens native Bobbi Giordano is featured. She started Bobbi & The Strays an animal shelter on Long Island, which was ruined during Hurricane Sandy. Her shelter that was presented with $100,000 by pedigree dog foods on “Katie” last year. Hear how she rebuilt her shelter and is saving pets.

In Addition, the entire studio audience was affected by Hurricane Sandy. Katie speaks with them about some of the comforts they were missing most in the aftermath and people share their stories of devastation and rebuilding. Hear how a pen light led to a miraculous rescue of Patricia Dresch from Staten Island. Actor Steve Buscemi returns to two of the hardest hit areas and speaks on how he’s helping families get back on their feet.
