Managing Animal Actors, plus Who’s on Top

Editor Susan Chaney introduces two professionals who train and handle a wide variety of animal actors for television and film. No role is too big or too small for Good Dog Animals, a Los Angeles-based company that can manage the career of the tiniest Terrier and procure the most enormous elephant. Discover an industry that combines show business with animal husbandry, and meet the company’s French Bulldog that won a Golden Collar award for Best Dog in a TV Series.

It’s back to the numbers for Best In Show Daily’s Blogger-In-Chief Billy Wheeler. Today he takes a look at who’s currently on top with the most points from AKC shows. Trust Billy to bring us a freshly updated chart that spells out the race in black and white – and red and blue and green. It’s turning into an interesting season with one dog – whose name we all know – still leading the pack.

Many of this year’s top show dogs are featured in their own beautiful mini-websites on Best In Show Daily. Simply click on a banner ad to see the dog’s up-to-date show history, plus a slide show of photos that reveals exactly why it’s a top dog.
