Cautionary Tales: It Can Happen to Anyone.

Piper

We’ve been closely following the story of Veronica Covatch’s Sheltie that got loose on Good Friday, April 17. She was picked up and taken to the Franklin County Animal Shelter in Columbus, Ohio, where she was released to a rescue on April 21. Proof of ownership was provided yet the dog has still not been returned to her owner. For background, Piper is microchipped with a working phone number to her Vet’s office; however since it was Good Friday and then the weekend, the Vet Clinic was not open. Multiple attempts to resolve her return have been made by the National Club, Ms. Covatch and Ms. Covatch’s attorney. Costly lawyers are now involved. For more on the story, follow this facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1444028252510403/

We will keep you posted on the outcome of this story.
