The Latest Show Results, plus Top Winners in Joplin, Mo.

In his Monday Morning Mop-Up, Billy Wheeler features this weekend’s winners from Virginia Beach, Va., to Central Point, Ore. Our Blogger-in-Chief reports on the final seven at AKC all-breed events, including the “boutique” shows where exhibitors have time to visit with friends and finish Best in Show at a reasonable hour. Find out which dogs came out on top in Fort Wayne, Ind., Knoxville, Tenn., and elsewhere around the nation, and meet the hound that won an unprecedented fourth national specialty.

Senior Editor Christi McDonald delves into the pedigrees of the Group winners at the Tri-State Kennel Club’s back-to-back shows held in Joplin, Mo. Many of the prevailing dogs are products of Best in Show-winning parents and grandparents, providing proof that today’s responsible breeders continue to maintain quality in their dogs. Find out the names of all the winners from Christi in the latest edition of “Fancy That.”

Wynmoor Champagne Supernova. ‘Peyton’ and handler Robin Novack, pushing as hard as they can to take over Number 1, were in Fort Wayne, Ind., the three days prior, defeating their chief rival, German Wirehaired Pointer GCh. Mt. View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, in the Group and scoring one Best in Show and one Reserve BIS. more
