My Dog Can Do That, plus Crosstraining Your Show Puppy: Part II

More than 3,000 non-registered dogs, both purebred and mixed breed, have gone through the American Kennel Club’s My Dog Can Do That program. Editor Susan Chaney takes a look at the program developed to encourage pet owners to train their dogs and participate in AKC events. Find out how everyone benefits when new owners and their dogs are made to feel welcome.

“Many exercises that agility exhibitors use can help your pup in the show ring,” says contributing writer Deb Eldredge, D.V.M. Building confidence is the goal when puppies are permitted to explore their world through play. Learn how exposure to tunnels and flying saucers can improve coordination and even make it easier to get that perfect show win photo.
