French Bulldog No Longer a High-Profile Breed

THE KENNEL Club said today that the reason why the French Bulldog had been removed from the high-profile list was that there was evidence that ‘a reasonable proportion’ of the dogs being shown were not severely affected by conditions from which the breed is known to suffer.

One of the criteria for removal, it said, was ‘a framework that in the long term will provide breeds with demonstrable evidence of breed health improvement’.

Montgomery County Wrap Up and Farewell to Mr. Goodman

It had been beautiful weather all weekend long, and the Montgomery County Kennel Club day was no different. Our Club is very proud of our site (Montgomery County Community College) and the hard work of the grounds chair (Ken Kauffman) and show chair (Carol Carlson) to make it as easy and pleasurable for our exhibitors as possible. Montgomery is the largest terrier show in the world and it is unique because of the support of numerous National Specialty Clubs.

Rarely you can “go it alone” but via an organization you will find resources, insurance coverage and some credibility if you approach a new facility. Slovenian Kennel Club Organizes Excellent Mediterranean Winner 2013 in Koper

Slovenia is a small country bordering Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia. But is also has a very small coastline, enough to have a prosperous port and access to the see. The country has over 2 million of inhabitants only but they seems to be very dogminded. The Cynoligical Association of Slovenia, the Slovenian Kennel Club, has no less than 12.000 members and 119 clubs.
