Out in Oklahoma City, Day One

We are here in the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, OK, for the OKC Summer classic, four days of all-breed shows hosted by the Mid-Del-Tinker Kennel Club and the Oklahoma City Kennel Club. This is likely to be the most competitive cluster of the week. Be sure to check in with us frequently as we will be posting several times a day over the next four days.

CH Brazos River Not A Mystery

I’m starting the day at Mildred Bryant’s ring, primarily to see the 31 Papillons she has scheduled. However, before Papillons were up, I saw Scott Sommer pick up the breed with the Pug, CH Brazos River Not A Mystery.

GCH CH Rising Attraction

The Paps lived up to their billing with a four-point major in bitches and seven specials. Best of Breed went to GCH CH Rising Attraction, handled by Brian Livingston.

GCH CH Tabirds Issac Newton

I’m making a quick stop at Ken Buxton’s ring to get a look at the Chinese Shar-Pei, including one that’s been doing a lot of winning lately, GCH CH Vaje’s Jethrene Bodine (how many of us remember “the Beverly Hillbillies”?). However, it was CH Tabirds Isaac Newton taking Best of Breed today.
