DFR Blogger Kayla Bertagnolli had a wonderful time over the Santa Barbara weekend. Our roving photographer spent four days at the Earl Warren Showgrounds capturing many of the moments that fanciers will be talking about for years to come. Meet the dogs that took home the Best in Show rosettes, as well as the winners of the Breeder’s Showcase, the Foreign-Bred Competition, and the first-ever Bullyganza!
Senior Editor Christi McDonald turns her attention to the shows closing on September 19, 2012. Southeastern Pennsylvania will once again welcome many of the nation’s top dogs for four days of competition culminating with the Montgomery County Kennel Club’s Terriers-only event. And from Nebraska to Ohio, clubs are planning to welcome fanciers with a variety of special attractions. Find out where a K-9 chiropractic and acupuncture seminar is being offered, and learn where exhibitors can enroll in an adult handling clinic.
Many of this year’s top show dogs are featured in their own beautiful mini-websites on Best In Show Daily. Simply click on a banner ad to see the dog’s up-to-date show history, plus a slide show of photos that reveals exactly why it’s a top dog.

Among the Shows Closing September 19, 2012: The Big Terrier Weekend
By Christi McDonald
Among the shows closing on September 19, 2012, are the shows I most look forward to each year. The Hatboro Dog Club shows on Thursday and Friday, October 4 and 5, Devon Dog Club on Saturday, October 6, and the Terriers-only Montgomery County Kennel Club on Sunday, October 7, all close on that date.
Truth be told, not much other than dog judging seems to be offered at the three all-breed shows before Montgomery, at least according to their premium lists, more
My Santa Barbara Weekend
By Kayla Bertagnolli
In one of my previous blogs, I wrote about the exciting events scheduled for the four-day Santa Barbara weekend. As I write this DFR, it’s all over but the flying home. So was it all it was talked up to be?
Personally, I’d have to say yes. And I think everyone else who attended would agree that this show is one to put on the top of your list of must-attend show weekends! more
