The Happy Dance, plus a Low Cost, High Fun Alternative

DFR Blogger Kayla Bertagnolli has noticed lately that despite the added pressure that comes with the end of the year countdown, the happiness level of the dogs being shown hasn’t diminished. In fact, most dogs seem tuned in to their handlers’ emotions and seem intent on easing the stress. Kayla has a few photos to share that prove her point and are guaranteed to make even the most anxious exhibitor smile.

The Delaware Water Gap and Lehigh Valley Kennel Club shows are low cost, high fun alternatives to next month’s AKC/Eukanuba National Championship. Held in Pennsylvania on the very same weekend as the extravaganza in Florida, these two clubs cater to owner-handlers and their dogs, resulting in sizable entries and majors in dozens of breeds. Find out about the many perks that await exhibitors who visit these shows held just 10 days before Christmas.

Many of this year’s top show dogs are featured in their own beautiful mini-websites on Best In Show Daily. Simply click on a banner ad to see the dog’s up-to-date show history, plus a slide show of photos that reveals exactly why it’s a top dog.
