The Latest Show Results, plus Gray Summit, Missouri

Blogger-in-Chief Billy Wheeler delivers his Monday Morning Mop Up with show results from all over the continental U.S. The Best in Show and Group winners from Helena, Mont., to Deland, Fla., are featured in Billy’s closely followed celebration of the purebred dog. Meet some of the exciting competitors that came out on top at AKC conformation shows this weekend.

Gray Summit, Mo., was the site of two shows this weekend where a few heavy hitters vied for the top prizes each day. The Spirit of the Heartland KC and the Jefferson County KC of Missouri hosted their conformation shows on the first weekend of fall, and more than 1,000 dogs entered to compete each day. Senior Editor Christi McDonald has some background information on each of the Group winners, including the victorious pair that took home the red, white and blue rosette.
