The Latest Show Results, plus the Saginaw Valley Kennel Club

In his Monday Morning Mop-Up, Blogger-in-Chief Billy Wheeler brings news of the Group and Best in Show winners from America’s heartland to the Sunshine State, and places farther afield. Several dogs have very nearly dominated the competition, including one notable bitch from the Working Group. Meet this “great” show dog and her contemporaries in Billy’s latest report.

Senior Editor Christi McDonald introduces the Best in Show winners from this weekend’s all-breed shows in Michigan, where two ebony females walked away with red, white and blue rosettes. Christi admits her fondness for black Toy Poodle bitches, as well as an admiration for a bewitching Giant Schnauzer. Meet both femme fatales and all of the Group winners in the latest edition of “Fancy That.”

Best In Show Daily has partnered with British Dog World to deliver news and information to fanciers on both sides of the pond. While social media streams have brought people in the dog sport closer, Internet publications allow owners, breeders and handlers to share their pride and joy with the world while navigating the local, national and international show scene. Please join with us as we expand the online experience of today’s ever-evolving “dog world.”

I’ll admit that one of the reasons I chose to write today about the Saginaw Valley Kennel Club shows is because what is for me the ultimate type of dog among all dogs went Best in Show on day one – very specifically, a black Toy Poodle bitch. These tiny ebony creatures of the female persuasion are just the very best kind of dog to have and share life with, in my opinion. more
