The PETS Act, plus Giving Thanks for Purebred Dogs

Senior Editor Christi McDonald follows up her report on the AKC CAR response to Superstorm Sandy with a look at the Pet Evacuation and Transportation Standards Act that was signed into law in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. American families of every configuration will celebrate the Thanksgiving Day holiday, including the estimated 46 million households that own at least one dog. Tomorrow’s 12 noon broadcast of the National Dog Show, hosted by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia, will also be shown on NBC tomorrow evening at 8 p.m. A selection of Best In Show Daily staff photos from the event can be viewed directly from our home page, or by clicking on “Show Albums” below our masthead, and then selecting “Current Shows.”
