The Whole Story

Master blogger Billy Wheeler has been telling “The Back Story” to Best In Show Daily readers since the year began. From his ringside reporting to his book reviews, Billy brings the world of the show dog to life with an inimitable voice that makes everyone feel like an insider.

The thousands of devotees who read him every day have also enjoyed Billy’s popular “Dog Show Poop.” A self-described “numbers nerd,” Billy manages to follow the most active show campaigns throughout the year and presents a Top 10 list followed by just about every exhibitor with access to a computer.

Billy’s reporting betrays his abiding love for dog shows. He’s covered every all-breed show, it seems, including the granddaddy of them all, Westminster. In the weeks leading up to the big event, he’s managed to address nearly every aspect of this singular celebration of all things purebred. From trends in grooming to the dogs to watch, virtually no aspect of the show has escaped his attention. Click here to catch up before the show begins.

When the lights go up at tomorrow’s Westminster Kennel Club dog show, the club’s 136th, Billy and the entire Best In Show Daily team will be there to bring you “the whole story.” From the benching areas to the floor of the main arena, we’ll be delivering up-to-the-minute results and commentary on each day’s victories, as well as the breed upsets that undoubtedly will occur. You won’t miss a thing.

Once again this year, Billy will be hosting his Garden Party, a two-night chat room where viewers can provide commentary as they watch the broadcasts from home. More than 30,000 are expected to join in and there’s always room for more.

All you need to bring is your love of dogs.
