Tragedy Strikes Dog Community

Tragedy has again struck the dog world as we recoil in horror at the photos of Lisa Croft-Ellliot & Carrie Russell-Smith’s destroyed rig.  Parked on the shoulder due to a break-down, they were hit by a large truck.  Unbelievably, Carrie, Lisa & Anastasia Egorovawere escaped with some injuries, however three of their dogs were killed as a result.  The corgi Darren has been found to everyone’s great relief.  We extend our condolences for the lost dogs, and wish Lisa, Carrie & Anastasia a speedy recovery – BISD

A very scary scene at the crash site – Lisa Croft-Elliott

THREE dogs have died following a road traffic collision in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Well known international photographer Lisa Croft-Elliott, Carrie Russell-Smith and Anastasia Egorovawere were travelling in their motorhome which was hit by a lorry between junctions 11 and 12 on the M40 northbound, they were on their way to a Corgi specialty.

Ms Croft-Elliott and Ms Russell-Smith were uninjured but Miss Egorova has been taken to hospital and may have a broken leg.

It is believed that the Toy Poodle Argoel Road Rage died in the motorhome along with a Chinese Crested puppy. Three Cardigan Corgis escaped. Two have since been found.

The group-winning Croat Ch TelltailSweetdreams at Llaneirwg (Sweetie) has died and the Belfast RBPIS winner Waggerland Last Laugh for Llaneirwg (Smirk) has been found and is being treated by vets. Am Lux Ch Yasashiikuma Telltail Dbledare(Darren) is still missing.

The motor home in which the women were travelling had broken down and was in the hard shoulder of the motorway. Reports suggest they had been waiting for several hours for a recovery vehicle. Dog World understands that at least one recovery firm would not attend because there were dogs in the vehicle.

So very sorry for the loss of these wonderful dogs and for the grief and pain that you are having to go through now because of the accident. SO so sorry.

My god, Lisa and Carrie what a tragedy and a loss, materially but in the first place your doggy friends.
