With titles from across the world adding Best in Show at Crufts to a long list of achievements was the Scottish Terrier GCh Mcvan’s To Russia With Love.
In the past two days the Scottie, owned by Mariana Khenkina and handled by Rebecca Cross who has campaigned her in the US, has been declared the winner in three rings under three undisputed terrier specialists, Geoff Corish, Michael Phillips and ultimately Ronnie Irving.
Knopa was Top Scottie for the last two years in the US and third top terrier, and last month won best of breed at Westminster in New York.
Crufts BIS is not her only success in the UK, having won the CC and best of breed at the greatest dog show in the world in 2013 when handled by her owner Mariana.
In Ronnie Irving’s best in show line-up was a cosmopolitan seven group winners. A Flatcoat from Sweden, an American/Russian Scottie, another Swede from the hound group in the shape of the Saluki, a Miniature Poodle from Norway, Maltese from Croatia, and the two British representatives – the French bred but British based Bearded Collie and the Alaskan Malamute.
