Celebrating Bests, Back-to-Backs & A Special Junior
This weekend was another terrific weekend packed full of specialities, clusters and prestigious shows. Winning another Best In Show over the weekend, and his first this year was English Springer Spaniel Ch Foxboro N Shardust Authentic “Maddox”. Maddox is piloted by Lynda O’Conner Schneider.
Ruth Dehmel commented “Team Maddox is thrilled with his Best In Show at Terry- All Kennel Club. Thank you Best In Show Judge Ms. Karen Ashe and Group Judge Mr. Ken Clemons.”
Classie, GCh Marlex Classic Red Glare continued her dominance by winning 2 Best In Shows. Starting Thursday in New Jersey, she rampaged through the shows with a final combined tally of 4 Bests & 2 RBIS.
Meanwhile, at Georgia’s Peach Blossom Cluster, GCh Claircreek Impression de Matisse won back-to-back-to-back-to back Bests! This dog has no intention of letting down or giving his competition any chance to catch up. Donna Gottdenker, breeder and co-owner shared this about Matisse:
The gorgeous happy boy that he is now is the same as he was as a baby- quiet but fun, smart and demanding like a Portuguese but sensible and focused and easy to be around. He loves his walks by the river and cool swims in the summer but he also loves his career with Michael and performs it to perfection!
Irish Setter Chamberlayne Mutiny O’Captiva had back-to-backs in Washington State.
Smooth Coat Chihuahua “Sonnito” won back-to-backs at the Rhode Island Kennel Club shows over the weekend.
Miss Rebecca Flood won Best Junior at the Collie Club of America National this weekend with Smooth Collie GCh Greyfriar’s Kiss Me Deadly “Lita”. We;ll have more to share from the Collie National and this young Junior later in the week.

California mid April always brings the Northern California Specialties. This year Sacramento again was the place to be with multiple Specialities in town. Most importantly, it’s Terrier Week and terriers from around the country come to be judged for tops in their breed specialties and tops for all Terriers. If you weren’t in Georgia, then California was the place to be for point shopping!

RBIs was awarded to GCh Cedarhills First Harvest-Quincy owned by Bradley, Brian and Teresa Cook.
