The Latest Show Results, plus Top Dogs in Michigan

Blogger-in-Chief Billy Wheeler delivers his Monday Morning Mop Up with show results from Yuma, Ariz., to Savannah, Ga. The Best in Show and Group winners from Fitchburg, Mass., to Conroe, Texas, are celebrated in Billy’s latest report of this year’s sprint to the finish. East Lansing, Mich., was the site of two of this past weekend’s biggest all-breed shows. Approximately 1,600 dogs competed each day in the Great Lakes State, including several of the country’s top dogs. Find out from Senior Editor Christi McDonald about the Group and Best in Show winners that satisfied the discriminating judges at the MSU Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Evaluation.

Fancy That: Top Dogs Top Ingham County

Of the eight sets of shows taking place around the country this past weekend, three drew entry numbers fewer than 900. Entries at the four shows in Georgia ranged from 600 to 850, and Kankakee, Ill., and south Florida drew about 500 each. Shows in Yuma, Ariz., Texas and Massachusetts drew just over 1,000 dogs, and Belleville, Ill., a suburb of St. Louis, Mo., drew 1,200. more
