A Palm Springs Peep Show, plus What Junior Newcomers Need

Blogger-in-Chief Billy Wheeler revisits this past weekend’s shows in Indio, Calif., that included substantial entries in the limited-breed as well as all-breed events. The Kennel Club of Palm Springs’ two shows are preceded by quite a few specialty and Group shows that lure exhibitors and their dogs from all over the U.S. Let Billy introduce you to some of the dogs that have already found a spot in the Top 10, and meet the little black and white breakout performer that is Billy’s first DOG2WATCH of 2013.

Many junior handlers are born into the sport, but some talented teens are introduced to juniors through a televised dog show or on the Internet. DFR Blogger Kayla Bertagnolli says that no matter how they get to the ring, it takes more than just a desire to brave the world of Junior Showmanship. Find out what juniors need from their family, friends, and from within.
