The Latest Show Results, plus Monday Morning Mop-Up

Senior Editor Christi McDonald has reason to be proud of her parent club’s National Specialty. The Poodle Club of America produces one of the most beautiful and well-organized events found anywhere, drawing visitors from the four corners of the Earth to watch the breed’s top contenders compete. Find out the names of the white Toy and Miniature Poodles that dominated their variety, and meet the thrilling black Standard Poodle that bested them all.

In his Monday Morning Mop-Up, Blogger-in-Chief Billy Wheeler gets “Sirius” about a Top Toy that’s been owner-handled to four consecutive Best in Show wins. Florida shows have been dominated by a single Pug in recent weeks, although another Toy has been doing likewise in Oklahoma. Meet the King Charles Spaniel that’s enjoyed considerable “prosperity” out on the Great Plains.

Best In Show Daily has partnered with British Dog World to deliver news and information to fanciers on both sides of the pond. While social media streams have brought people in the dog sport closer, Internet publications allow owners, breeders and handlers to share their pride and joy with the world while navigating the local, national and international show scene. Please join with us as we expand the online experience of today’s ever-evolving “dog world.”

Many probably also feel that their parent club show itself is so well done and the entry is of such quality that just being there is a rare opportunity to be treasured. That is exactly how I see Poodle Club of America, and the many visitors who come from other breeds – and indeed from all over the world – each year bear out my feelings about PCA. more
