A Long Journey Home, plus Showing in the Rain
A leap of blind faith led a Napa Valley, Calif., grandmother to open her home and heart to a Terrier in dire straights. When Frankie was discovered tied to a tree in Northern California woodlands, no one knew just how seriously injured he was. DFR Blogger Kayla Bertagnolli recently attended a show cluster in her home state of Utah, where a downpour preempted the usually sunny, dry weather most exhibitors have come to expect. After Long Journey, Abused Dog Is Happy and Healthy

Claudia’s granddaughter Arianna, 9, has continually asked her grandparents for a dog as a birthday or Christmas present. Even though Arianna has aspirations of being a veterinarian and is great with animals, Claudia (who asked that her last name not be used) knew that a 9-year-old wasn’t ready to take on full responsibility of owning a dog. more

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

It’s not very often that we experience crappy weather at shows in my home state of Utah. And while we don’t have shows in the wintertime – because we know that can just get ugly – it’s usually warm and dry during our outdoor shows. more
