Junior Handlers Assist for the Summer, plus ‘Hank’ Sees Again
DFR Blogger Kayla Bertagnolli introduces four junior handlers who are spending the summer months assisting professional handlers. Each of the young ladies has been involved in the dog sport for some time, and each answers Kayla’s questions about the challenges and rewards of working as an assistant. Find out how much fun summer can be when you’re doing what you enjoy.

German Shorthaired Pointer ‘Hank’ received cataract surgery thanks to the generosity of several organizations working in tandem. NorCal GSP Rescue, Eye Care for Animals in Santa Rosa and the William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at UC Davis all played roles in giving the dog his sight again. Learn about Hank’s journey from rescued to renewed.
