Judges and Russia, plus Agility for Future Show Dogs
Should AKC judges travel to Russia for the 2016 FCI World Dog Show? That’s the question Senior Editor Bo Bengtson poses today. Bo, himself a judge, considers the dilemma; you may find his conclusion surprising.

Of course young puppies aren’t ready for the jumps involved in agility. But some exercises in the sport can actually help build a future show dog into a better competitor. Today in part 2 of her series on crosstraining puppies, Deb Eldredge, D.V.M., explains how agility obstacles can develop a pup’s confidence and how several specific elements can put your young dog just that much closer to its championship.
